Let's start with what we won't make you do
Great engineers already have jobs. They do not audition. So we removed the hoops and kept the conversation.
Five steps, start to finish
Apply, or hear from us first
Plenty of our hires never filled out an application: our recruiters actively reach out to engineers across the Philippines, and employee referrals are a big source too. However you arrive, a real person reads your profile. There is no resume-scanning robot deciding your fate.
A video call with a technical recruiter
A real conversation about your experience, your stack, your career goals, your salary expectations, and your availability. Camera on, from a laptop or desktop. No trick questions and no puzzles. We are mostly figuring out what you are great at and which open role fits you.
A technical interview with an engineering manager
A structured interview built for your specific role and seniority, run by an engineering manager in your discipline. Expect to think out loud and work through practical problems live on the call. Nothing to prepare overnight, nothing take-home.
Your offer, and meeting your client team
If it is a match, we endorse you for a specific US client team, and you will usually meet them before you start. That conversation goes both ways: you are choosing them too.
Background check, then day one
Every hire completes a third-party background check, and your recruiter walks you through it. We respect your notice period, whether you can start next week or need 30 days, and your laptop and equipment come from us.
Not hired this time? You stay on our list, and that is not a polite brush-off: we regularly hire people months after first meeting them, when the right role opens.
What we look for
Every technical interview is scored on six things. No mystery, here they are.
Communication
The heaviest thing we score. You will work directly with a US team, so clear speaking and writing matter more than anything else.
Technical fundamentals
Know your stack deeply, not just the buzzwords on your resume.
Practical ability
Show you can do the work, live, while explaining your thinking.
Ownership
Things you drove end to end, not just tickets you closed.
Reliability
You do what you said you would, and you flag risks early.
AI proficiency
You use AI tools every day, and you know how to catch them when they are wrong.
AI and your interview
We will ask about AI. Every role at Full Scale requires real AI fluency, so expect questions about how you use AI tools in your work, and how you catch them when they are wrong.
But do not let AI answer for you. During the interview itself, put the chatbot away unless your interviewer asks you to demonstrate something. We are hiring you, not your AI. And yes, interviewers notice.
The camera stays on. We want to meet the actual person we are hiring, and you deserve teammates who were hired the same way.
